Training Workshop on Agroecology and Climate Justice held in Satkhira

A two-day training workshop on agroecology, climate justice, and food sovereignty was held recently in Shyamnagar, Satkhira, organized by the Green Coalition with support from BARCIK. Farmers, organizers, environmental activists, and community representatives participated in the workshop.

The training was facilitated by Syed Ali Biswas and inaugurated by Green Coalition Satkhira President Abu Affan Roz Babu. Speakers emphasized the importance of preserving agricultural biodiversity, reducing dependence on chemical farming, promoting organic production systems, and ensuring local people’s participation in climate and food movements.

The workshop also focused on strengthening community understanding of climate justice, ecological agriculture, and food sovereignty while preparing future action plans for environmental protection and biodiversity conservation in the coastal region.
