Former army member Md. Asad Ullah presided over the meeting. Gazi Abdur Rouf was named Adviser, along with Habibullah Al Mamun, Md. Asad Ullah, and BARCIK youth organizer S.M. Osman Gani Sohag as members of the advisory panel.
During the meeting speakers highlighted that Shyamnagar and surrounding coastal areas are highly vulnerable to cyclones, tidal surges, salinity, and climate change. They emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts by volunteer organizations and youth leadership to protect the Sundarbans, coastal biodiversity, and local livelihoods.

The newly formed association pledged to work jointly on climate risk reduction, disaster preparedness, access to safe water and health services, and sustainable development in the coastal region.
