During the rainy seasons all the wastes near the river would be washed out.’

She went on saying, but today due to encroachment and contamination the canal is drying up and the less of water in the canal could not wash away the wastes and rotten materials leading to the contamination of its water.
Including Kamla Begum other participants of the event emphasized on taking initiative to conserve such water bodies. According to them, if there is no water no life would be survived. They demanded the renovation of the canal.
