Youth Workshop on Cybersecurity Skills Held in Shyamnagar

BARCIK organized a special workshop to equip the youth with skills in cybersecurity for a rapidly changing technology-dependent world recently.

Moderated by BARCIK’s Youth Organizer, S. M. Osman Gani (Sohag), Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shyamnagar Police Station, Md. Humayun Kabir Mollah attended as chief guest. Director of the Satkhira Cyber Crime Alert Team, Sheikh Mahbubul Haque facilitated the training. He provided guidance to the youth on cyber risks, prevention strategies, and building a safe digital environment.

Youth representatives from 25 youth volunteer organizations in Shyamnagar participated in the workshop. The participants learned the fundamentals of cybersecurity as well as how to build a safe digital environment at their organizational, societal, and national levels.

As technology is rapidly changing, making the youth skilled in cybersecurity is a demand of the time. Knowledge of cybersecurity is essential to protect personal information, financial transactions, and digital devices from cyber threats.

Gazi Abdur Rouf of Utsargo Society, Saifuddin Siddiqui of Shyamnagar Blood Bank, Md. Hafiz of CDO, Jannatul Naim of Sharub Youth Team, Mominur Rahman of the Safe Coast Demand Movement, Abdul Alim of Shyamnagar Press Club, Saidul Islam of SST, BARCIK’s associate coordinator Ramkrishna Jowerder, Nur Nahar Parvin of Youth Red Crescent, and student Anika Tabassum from Nokipur Pilot School participated in the training.

The organizers stated that through such workshops, the youth will be able to enhance their skills and contribute significantly not only at the personal and social levels but also at the national level.
