Students delighted in ecological Education Session

With the iam to nurture creativity and inspire cultural practices among primary school students, an ecological education session was organized at Datinakhali Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa in Burigoalini Union of Shyamnagar recently.

The event featured performances that include songs, poems, and rhymes by enthusiastic students showcasing their talents.

Presided over by Head Teacher Razia Sultana and Assistant Teacher Saiful Islam, Assistant Teacher Rabeya Sultana, BARCIK youth organizer S.M. Osman Gani, and community facilitator Abdullah Al Mamun participated as guests of the event.

The main objective of the event was to build students’ confidence, cultivate a love for literature and culture, raise awareness on ecology, climate change and natural disasters, and create a joyful school environment.

Organized by the Sundarban Students’ Solidarity Team (SSST) with facilitating support from BARCIK, the event turned the school premises into a festive space for the day. Parents and teachers expressed joy seeing the students’ performances, while younger students developed greater interest and confidence in cultural activities.

Head Teacher Razia Sultana Ranu said, “Today’s event is a shining example of nurturing children’s creativity. Regular initiatives like this will advance their mental development and cultural practice including educating them on the natural environment and ecology.” She went on saying, “We are grateful to BARCIK and call for such co-curricular activities to continue in our institution.”
