The welcome address was delivered by Jahirul Islam, general secretary of the school’s managing committee.

In his speech, Advocate Tofazzal Hossain said, “Child marriage and violence against women have not decreased in society as much as we expected. We must raise more awareness, and teachers and students can play a vital role in this regard. I sincerely thank BARCIK for organizing such a timely and important workshop.”

Earlier, Jahirul Islam praised BARCIK’s efforts, saying, “BARCIK is doing remarkable work to prevent child marriage, violence against women, and eve-teasing. If all of us come forward from our own positions, we can end these social curses.”

Based on group discussions, an action plan was developed to prevent child marriage and gender-based violence. Teachers pledged to regularly monitor students’ attendance. The school also decided to identify harassment hotspots around the campus, assign a focal person, and promote awareness of government hotline numbers for immediate response.
